What is a Mold release application?

The mould release application on steel parts is necessary to take easier the produced parts out of the mould or form.

The mould release material is for lubricate and not making the forms or moulds dirty. Also there should be no influence on the following production steps like laminating, coating etc. plus working easily with such application. The environmental aspects are also important.

Each mould release application is different and needs different application equipment; even if there is a new type of application means new ideas are required.

There are two types of manual and automatic applications are possible: Non electrostatic or electrostatic airspray systems. The benefit of the electrostatic system is increasing the transfer efficiency by more than 30% (means material savings and reduce major cleaning costs)
